چکیده
In the hydrodynamic inclined fixed pad thrust bearing, when surface separation is ultra low, there will be special mode where in inlet zone occur both adsorbed boundary layer flows and intermediate continuum fluid flow i.e. multiscale outlet only occurs physical flow. This new of bearing has not been addressed before. Here, we present corresponding analysis for this bearing. The described by closed-form explicit equations. nanoscale equation. First, analytical derivations pressure distribution carried load were feasibly made making a reasonable assumption. Then, full numerical solutions to obtained verify solution. It was found that are significant differences between analytically calculated numerically solved same operating condition; however studied different fluid-bearing interactions, relatively large, derived equation can used calculate Numerical clearly show stronger interaction, higher generated larger study provides mathematical tools studying but also gives indication strong effect

Numerical Simulation of Impact of Low Velocity Projectiles With Water Surface
In this article, Finite Element Method (FEM) and Eulerian-Lagrangies Algorithm (ELA) formulation were used to numerically simulate the impact of several low-velocity projectiles with water surface. Material models which were used to express behavior of air and water included Null material model. For the projectiles, rigid material model were applied. Results were validated by analyzing the impa...
متن کاملDifferential Quadrature Method for the Analysis of Hydrodynamic Thrust Bearings
This paper presents the application of the method of generalized differential quadrature (GDQ) for the analysis of hydrodynamic thrust bearings. GDQ is a simple, efficient, high-order numerical technique and it uses the information on all grid points to approach the derivatives of the unknown function. The effectiveness of the solution technique is verified by comparing the GDQ computed results...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of hydrodynamic properties of Alex type gliders
Simulation of an underwater glider to investigate the effect of angle of attack on the hydrodynamic coefficients such as lift, drag, and torque. Due to the vital role of these coefficients in designing the controllers of a glider and to obtain an accurate result, this simulation has been studied at a range of operating velocities. The total length of the underwater glider with two wings is 900 ...
متن کاملNumerical Analysis of Index-Guiding Photonic Crystal Fibers with Low Confinement Loss and Ultra-Flattened Dispersion by FDFD Method
In this article, perfectly matched layer (PML) for the boundary treatment and an efficient compact two dimensional finite-difference frequency-domain (2-D FDFD) method were combined to model photonic crystal fibers (PCF). For photonic crystal fibers, if we assume that the propagation constant along the propagation direction is fixed, three-dimensional hybrid guided modes can be calculated by us...
متن کاملNumerical and experimental hydrodynamic analysis of catamaran with and without V-like center bow
Catamaran added V-like center bow (INCAT) is investigated as a wave-piercing vessel to decrease vertical acceleration and diminish slam events during sea-keeping operation. The catamaran and the vessel bow were modeled and the vertical acceleration of model was validated with experimenal test. The geometry of V-like center-bow such as slope of center bow and elevation from demi-hulls was optimi...
